Strengthening Regional Economic Diplomacy Across the Gulf
On October 8–9, 2025, senior representatives of Azerbaijan’s business and government sectors conducted high level engagements in Muscat, Oman, and Kuwait City, Kuwait, marking a significant step in expanding economic diplomacy across the Gulf region. The official delegation, led by H.E. Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, included Mr. Dayanat Sadullayev, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham) and Deputy CEO of PASHA Holding. Their participation reflects a deeper commitment to advancing cross regional economic cooperation, private sector partnerships, and diversified investment strategies.
Oman–Azerbaijan Business Talks Open New Channels
The delegation began its mission on October 8 at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where government officials and business leaders convened to discuss strengthening trade, industrial cooperation, and investment facilitation. Senior Omani officials, including H.E. Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of Oman, and H.E. Sheikh Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the OCCI, emphasized Oman’s interest in developing new investment frameworks with Azerbaijan—particularly in energy, logistics, food security, and industrial technology.
Kuwait–Azerbaijan Relations Deepen through Bilateral Dialogue
The mission continued on October 9 in Kuwait, where discussions at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry focused on emerging business opportunities and mechanisms to enhance investment flows between the two economies. The roundtable addressed capital market collaboration, infrastructure partnerships, and joint investment vehicles aimed at supporting sustainable development and diversification.

PASHA Holding Brings Private Sector Leadership
Representing Azerbaijan’s private sector, Mr. Sadullayev held a series of bilateral meetings with senior government and business leaders, underscoring PASHA Holding’s long term strategy to expand its footprint across the Gulf region. Discussions highlighted potential cooperation in finance, tourism, real estate development, and innovation focused enterprises — positioning the Azerbaijani private sector as a key partner for Gulf economies pursuing diversification beyond hydrocarbons.
Strategic Significance for the Region
These engagements underscore a broader regional trend: increasing economic interconnectivity between the South Caucasus and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). As Azerbaijan advances its role as a commercial and logistics hub bridging Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, partnerships with Oman and Kuwait provide new pathways for investment mobility, trade corridors, and innovation driven growth.
The mission demonstrates growing momentum for multi regional partnerships among Turkic economies, the Caucasus, and the Middle East. For ATBA stakeholders, this development signals:
→ Strengthening of South Caucasus – Gulf trade corridors
→ Increasing demand for cross regional private sector collaboration
→ Expanded opportunities for U.S. and Turkic-region businesses to engage in tri-lateral investment models
As global connectivity shifts toward Eurasian and Gulf commercial networks, the American-Turkic Republics Business Alliance continues to support initiatives that foster strategic partnerships, trade expansion, and innovation driven cooperation across these regions.
