The Turkish Festival has quickly become one of the most prominent cultural gatherings in North America. Following its successful debut last year, which welcomed more than 15,000 participants, the festival is expected to draw even larger crowds this year.
The opening day will highlight Türkiye’s culinary heritage with programs dedicated to Turkish cuisine. Visitors will also enjoy captivating performances, including the Ottoman Military Band (Mehter), Sufi dervish whirling, and traditional folk dances.
Throughout the festival, over 200 booths will showcase Turkish culture, crafts, and artisanal products. Guests will have the opportunity to explore traditional arts such as Ebru (paper marbling), Tezhip (illumination), ceramics, and calligraphy, with artists sharing insights and demonstrations of their work.
Festival organizers emphasize that the event is not only about presenting Turkish culture but also about enriching and expanding cultural exchange in America.
As part of the festival experience, Turkish Airlines will award round-trip tickets to Türkiye to 10 lucky winners selected by lottery from the first 2,000 registered attendees.
With its wide variety of cultural programs, performances, and interactive experiences, the Chicago Turkish Festival promises to be a landmark event celebrating the depth and diversity of Türkiye’s heritage.
