Women Entrepreneurs Gather in New York to Strengthen Turkic World Business Ties

Call for stronger cooperation and support mechanisms for women-led entrepreneurship across Turkic states

An event titled “From Unity of Hearts to Unity of Strength: The Entrepreneurship Ecosystem within the Turkic World” was held at the Türkevi building in New York City, USA. The program was organized by the Gender Equality Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and brought together women entrepreneurs from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Northern Cyprus.

The event served as a platform for participants to discuss cooperation opportunities, shared challenges, and the development of sustainable support mechanisms for women’s entrepreneurship across the Turkic world. Speakers emphasized the importance of building a stronger, more connected entrepreneurial ecosystem that can enhance regional economic collaboration.

Bahar Muradova highlighted that such platforms play a key role in expanding economic relations among Turkic nations. She emphasized that shared cultural values and spiritual unity, along with the collective experience of Turkic countries, can further strengthen economic cooperation opportunities. Muradova also noted that women entrepreneurs are a key driving force of inclusive growth and competitiveness amid global economic transformation.

Support expressed for the proposed Women’s Council within the Organization of Turkic States

Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş expressed strong support for the initiative to establish a Women’s Council within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States. She stated that such a council would significantly contribute to expanding cooperation and coordination among member countries.

Women entrepreneurs who are members of the American Turkic Republics Business Alliance also actively participated in the event. They shared insights on strengthening collaboration and further developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem within Turkic states, highlighting the importance of joint initiatives and cross-border networking.

The event concluded with a shared commitment to deepening economic ties and empowering women-led enterprises as a vital component of regional growth.
